Dear Mr. President,
End of the year is always a time of reflection but I look back at 2010 and don’t see much to be happy about. Still deep in wars we should never have gotten into, still wasting lives and treasure, still no end in sight. They’re unwinnable, unjustified, immoral, evil (every war is evil, every war is against the children) and the only way this war will end is if someone who can stops it. That’s you, Mr. President, the commander-in-chief, the big Kahuna. Override the generals, the war hawks, the chicken hawks and all the rest of the hawks back there in Washington and simply say, “That’s all folks, enough is enough and we’re outta’ here.” More than nine years is enough, more than enough. Tens of thousands of lives lost or destroyed. A trillion dollars wasted on killing and destruction. Torture institutionalized. Our moral soul poisoned. Stop the madness, stop the destruction, stop the killing. You have the power to do it. You’re the only one. Do it. Here’s hoping for a better 2011.
Free Bradley Manning!
